Benzyl Benzoate
Benzyl Benzoate is used as a fragrance ingredient, preservative, artificial flavour and solvent.
It is an ester of Benzoic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol.
A useful solvent; helping nitro-musks, certain natural extracts and other very low polarity materials to dissolve.
Used as a fixative, blender and modifier in heavy floral compositions, oriental fragrances, Gardenia, Yiang Ylang, Lily etc.
