Cashmeran (Pure)
Cashmeran is a diffusive, spicy, musk-like material with strong floral reinforcement and powdery, velvet nuances.
A researcher at IFF; whilst analysing impurities in a GC chromatogram; got intrigued by a hydrocarbon that was identified. The researcher manipulated and oxidised the hydrocarbon and created Cashmeran.
Cashmeran is a solid in its pure form, making it difficult to work with so if you are not comfortable working with Cashmeran in its pure form, we provide pre-dissolved solutions in DPG at 10% here and in IPM at 50% here for your convenience.
This material works beautifully in combination with Timbersilk, Eugenol, Delta Damascone & Citronellol and is exceptional in the creation of spicy carnation florals, orientals, woody accords and musky amber notes.
Large amounts of around 25% were used by both Maurice Roucel and Alessandro Gualtieri in the fabulous Dans Tes Bras (Frederic Malle, 2008) and Duro (Nasomatto, 2007).
In combination with Kephalis, they form the key ingredients in a lot of current mainstream Oud/Agarwood formulations; with Cashmeran bridging the gap between the darker woods and animalic musky sides of Agarwood Oud with its notable coniferous woods nuances and fruity, floral musky tonality.
