Galaxolide 50 IPM is a powerful, clean and versatile iso-chroman musk with exceptional persistence and a superb fragrance quality nearing the tonality of macrocyclic musks.

Galaxolide is clean, strong and works as a great fixative; commonly used in combination with other musks.

A key component in the famous Grojsman Accord, otherwise known as the Hug Me accord, together with Iso E Super, Hedione & Methyl Ionone Gamma in roughly equal proportions made popular by Sophia Grojsman as being one of the most influential accords in modern day perfumery. Grojsman first developed the accord for a fragrance she formulated for herself, that soon came to dominate feminine fragrance in the early 1990’s through fragrances such as Tresor by Lancôme, Spellbound by Ester Lauder, Chopard, Dior’s Dune and so on…

Galaxolide is a firm favourite for any perfumer as it is one of the most affordable musks that is still being used on a large commercial scale.
