Geraniol
Geraniol is primarily a Rose material, that is used in fine fragrance, personal, fabric and home care applications.
A classic component of Rose and Geranium, occurring naturally in a broad array of florals.
One of the most frequently used perfume materials of all time; it is commonly used as a sweet floral material because of its outstanding versatility.
It is a major player in most artificial YlangYlang bases, and is often included in Peony, Sweet Pea, Frangipanni and Magnolia creations.
In combination with Beta Ionone, Fructone and Frambinone, this material contributes to the illusion of the scent of raspberries.
Adding Cis-3-Hexenol however gives a sour, green quality, whereas Geraniol oil will give a taste of lipstick.
