Guaiacol D
Guaiacol is a very powerful organic compound.
It is a naturally occurring substance found in wood smoke and some plant-derived essential oils.
This phenol ether is commonly used in perfumery in very small amounts for floral compositions, such as Cananga and Ylang Ylang and in trace quantities for Lilac, Narcissus, Lily and similar notes.
It is also effective in Carnation accords, while slightly higher doses can be applied in spicy blends.
It’s intense character makes it both challenging and valuable in fragrance formulation.
