Linalool
Linalool is used extensively in perfume compositions of all types and price points. A floral material and originally a Lily-of-the Valley (Muguet) ingredient; it is now extensively used in floral, oriental, amber, citrus, woody, aldehydic, herbaceous and many other fragrance creations.
Linalool is the material that gives lift in an overall heavy composition.
A classic floral citrus woody note once obtained from Rosewood is almost always now used in a synthetic form.
