Vanillin
Slightly less chocolaty than Ethyl Vanillin
It boosts the natural vanilla effect in a composition and the power is demonstrated in dilutions of this material.
Among the more common perfume materials, it is one of the most tenacious odours known. It’s intense sweetness is utilised in industrial masking odours and in high value luxury perfumes and can be used in almost any type of fragrance, from Woody or herbaceous to Oriental or Floral.
Chemically one of the purest materials used in perfumery.
