Aldehyde C8 Octanal occurs in several citrus oils including Orange oil.
It is a colourless liquid with a pungent odour, that becomes citrus like upon dilution.
Aldehyde C8 Octanal is used in perfumery in low concentrations, in eau de cologne and in artificial citrus oils.
