Butyl Lactate
Butyl lactate is a lactate acid ester that is clear with a characteristic odour. Its application in cosmetic formulations has significantly increased due to its emulsifying and exfoliating properties, making it a useful addition to many cosmetic and personal care applications.
Butyl Lactate adds synthetic butter, butterscotch, caramel, and fruit notes to compositions and is very useful as a solvent for not only fragrance, but also, creams, lotions and soaps.
