Watermelon Ketone (Calone)
Calone crystals refer to the solid form of Watermelon Ketone (Calone 1951), a synthetic aromatic compound widely used in perfumery. It was also developed by Firmenich as a powdery crystallised solid in its pure form.
It is a marine or ozonic fragrance ingredient known for its fresh, watery scent with hints of melon and cucumber.
If you prefer working with the pure crystal form of Calone, you can obtain that material here
This unusually unique odourant possesses intense ozonic and marine notes with beautiful floral overtones.
The material is very on trend since it became widely used back in the 90’s and forms the basis for several perfumes, particularly those with a marine theme, such as Davidoff Cool Water and Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey, helping define the “aquatic” fragrance category.
