Cyclamen Aldehyde
Cyclamen Aldehyde issuable in most compositions and its substantivity make it a very useful component. It is not as potent as other saturated aliphatic aldehydes, but is still best used in dilution.
Use where a sweet, floral character is required.
Cyclamen Aldehyde is more powerful and more stable than Hydroxycitronellal but lacks the tonality of the power.
Diffusive and powerful floral green, floral stem like odor with pronounced vegetable Cucumber Melon like notes.
Overall resembling the odor of Linden Blossom. Extensively used in perfumery for adding floral effects, fresh green floral top notes (of lasting fragrance), Blends well with the Ionones and all Rose notes.
It is a valuable perfumery material possessing an odor reminiscent of Cyclamen, Lily of the Valley, Lilac etc and is therefore useful in Lilac, Lily, Peony, Magnolia, Orange Blossom, Alpine Violet compositions.
It has not been found in nature and is solely a product of the laboratory.
Highly resistant to alkalis and not irritating to the skin.
