Zenolide D
Zenolide by IFF is a macrocyclic musk known for its high effectiveness and persistence.
It is similar to Ethylene brassylate, a more widely recognised musk, with an almost identical molecular structure, differing by only one molecule.
However, this musk shows top-note effects similar to Helvetolide and can last up to a week on a smelling strip.
It has a subtle red-fruit nuance and a fresh, floralozone-like dry-down.
It is important to note that this musk may solidify in colder temperatures but can be easily liquefied with gentle heat.
If not fully melted, it may recrystallise.
When stored at normal room temperature, especially in smaller quantities, this is less likely.
Given its price, this musk offers excellent value and deserves wider use.
