Ebanol
Ebanol is an intense and very powerful Sandalwood odourant; much stronger than natural Sandalwood oil with a scent profile comparable to that of Javanol, making it a more cost effective alternative.
Good performance in fragrance, soap, detergents, toiletries and candles. Can be found in popular fragrances such as Escape, Egoiste, Dolce Vita, Elysium, Red Jeans and XS.
Givaudan describe this as a very rich, natural sandalwood odour. It is powerful and intense, bringing volume and elegance to woody accords and a diffusive sandalwood effect to compositions. Highly substantive on all supports.
Store cool and keep in well sealed containers or diluted in ethanol as soon as possible to preserve quality.

This sandalwood material is smooth and lovely. It has slight musky tones to it. After testing I decided for. My purpose that id blend others with it to build up a more complex sandalwood aroma. I have heard that once opened that you have to dilute it with ethanol or your chosen dilution. And then to keep it cool.
Perfume Extract –
You don’t necessarily need to dilute it upon opening, like you would with some of the aldehydes, but doing so will certainly maintain the longevity of the material; as will storing the material in a suitable chiller or cool environment.
