Isoamyl Acetate (Amyl Acetate) is a specialty material widely used in fragrances.

It is commonly used to create synthetic banana notes. 

In high concentrations, it has a sharp, nail polish-like scent, while its characteristic banana aroma emerges at lower levels.

It’s a volatile top note, noticeable primarily in the opening of a fragrance.

It’s excellent solvency makes it a preferred ingredient in nail varnish application and removal, as well as in deodorants and non-powered air fresheners.
