Alpha Terpineol (Lindenol)
Alpha Terpineol is best used to compliment floral notes with its appealing citrus woody profile that is supported by facets of lemon and lime. Perfect for citrus, apple and tropical fruit flavour compositions.
Alpha Terpineol is a naturally occurring Monoterpene Alcohol. Monoterpenes are a class of terpenes that consist of two isoprene units and have the molecular formula C10H16. It has antioxidant, antiseptic, antihypernociception and anti-inflammatory properties and is also used as a solvent, fat denaturant for soap production and as a synthetic flavouring agent.
Despite being incompatible with strong oxidising agents, Alpha Terpineol is one of the most commonly used perfume ingredients of Fougeres, Apple Blossoms, Soaps, Detergents and other fragranced household products. It has very little competition in this regard and is a major component of many varieties of Pine oil fragrances, disinfectants and Lilac perfumes.
